It is the essential medium for the transfer of science, knowledge, and technology. It is forming a fundamental pillar and an urgent necessity- particularly in our modern era, where the world has become a global village. The acquisition of the English has gained main importance as one of the most widely spoken and utilized languages in the fields of science, knowledge, and technology. Its mastery has become an imperative requirement to meet global challenges. Since its inception, the department has been committed to providing specialized students with comprehensive courses in Applied linguistics, Literature, and Translation Studies and Sciences. Furthermore, the department prepares and empowers students to obtain a Bachelor's degree. It also serves the wider body of the Faculty by providing general English courses in accordance with university requirements, supports by dedicated team of teaching assistants within the department.
Description
The undergraduate program in the department of English spans four academic years, organized into eight semesters. Students are required to complete a total of 49 courses, amounting to 141 credit units. These credits are distributed as follows: 126 credit hours dedicated to specialized core courses in various fields of English, 15 credit hours allocated to general university requirements and elective courses offered by the department. The curriculum utilize a balanced pedagogical approach, bleeding theoretical classroom instruction with intensive practical laboratory training. Upon the successful completion of all required coursework and academic components, the student awards the Bachelor of Sciences (B.A) degree in English language.

- Provide students with the scientific knowledge essential for conducting and preparing rigors academic research.
- Contribute to community development by organizing lectures, seminars, scientific symposium, and conferences.
